Songon Power Project
Endeavor Energy is leading the development of the Songon Power Project through a Joint Development Agreement with Starenergie 2073. We will be responsible for commercial management of the power project as well as providing construction management and oversight of the EPC contractor.
Songon is a multi-phase power project located outside of Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire that will consist of approximately 1,200MW of combined cycle power generation to be fueled by imported LNG, via a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU). Phase 1 will consist of 375MW of combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) generation.
Phase 1 of the project will supply much needed generation capacity to Côte d’Ivoire’s IPP thermal fleet in the short term, while additional phases will enable the Government of Côte d’Ivoire to meet medium-to-long term power demand.
Songon is in an advanced stage of development having executed its power contract with the Government of Côte d’Ivoire, received regulatory approval of its power tariff, acquired its site, and obtained an approved Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for the power plant.
