Ebute Power Station, Nigeria

photo-cs1The $200 million, 300MW Ebute Power Station was the first independent power project developed, financed and constructed in the Republic of Nigeria. Members of Endeavor’s senior management team led the development of the Ebute Power Station in 1999.

The Ebute Power Station is located in Lagos, Nigeria adjacent to the Egbin Power Station and is comprised of 9 barge-mounted 30MW+ GE6B turbines running off of natural gas supplied to the power station via a compressor station from the Escravos-Lagos pipeline located on the Egbin site.

The Ebute Power Station achieved commercial operations in October 2001 and is operated by 80 personnel; the vast majority of which are Nigerian citizens.
