Job Description

Endeavor Energy Holdings, LLC is seeking a Contract Project Accountant to work closely in Houston with the company Controller on international power projects. The role’s basic responsibilities are to provide oversite on project activities by assisting local project Controller such as reviewing and analyzing actual expenditures vs. milestones and budget, as well as reconciling and managing intercompany accounts and internal and external reporting. Additionally, this role will be the main liaison between Corporate and Project Company for all project related matters.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Accounting and Reporting – manage and maintain Intercompany Accounts on all affiliated entities including intercompany reconciliations,
  • Create project accounts, manage project-related financial records, reconcile project expense variances, track project milestones, and interface with and prepare internal and external reports,
  • Track actual vs. budgeted expenses, identify, analyze and report variances,
  • Work with Project teams to develop and maintain cash flow forecasts,
  • Assist in required reporting including monthly close, internal, external and tax related reporting,
  • Assist in financial audits,
  • Assist Controller, senior management and other personnel as needed,
  • Interact with Company partners around the world and work collaboratively across multi-functional teams,
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent discipline,
  • Minimum two to five years of work experience in an international company setting with Intercompany Accounting; experience in Africa preferred; experience in energy a plus,
  • Proficient in project accounting, and GAAP and IFRS,
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Dynamics Navision a plus and other ERP systems,
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) are essential,
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills,
  • Successful candidate will be proactive and self-motivated,
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize required,
  • Ability to work under multiple deadline pressures required,
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with individuals at all levels of the Company.

Job description

Endeavor Energy Holdings has an employment opportunity for a part-time Contract Corporate Paralegal who will be responsible for legal assistance to the in-house General Counsel, the corporate office, and its international offices and team. The Corporate Paralegal works under the direct supervision of the General Counsel as well as working with senior management and other personnel.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs corporate secretary duties such as setting up new entities both domestic and foreign, maintaining corporate structure charts, corporate formalities, and corporate records, liaising with foreign services companies, supervising foreign corporate compliance, preparing for and attending board meetings, maintaining corporate minutes, and drafting resolutions,
  • Provides support to maintain D&O insurance and other commercial insurance as needed,
  • Performs department administrator duties such as maintaining FCPA records, supervising other staff, providing support to the General Counsel, compiling documents and files, providing corporate information and contracts to personnel, providing and obtaining due diligence documentation, drafting agreements for attorney review, and disseminating agreements for signature,
  • Provides information to private investor on legal and tax matters and other relevant items,
  • Produces and disseminates written correspondence, reports, contracts, documents, files, information and memoranda, obtains authorized signatures, and maintains and protects sensitive, confidential and proprietary information,
  • Interacts with diverse groups of external parties, outside attorneys, partners, shareholders, vendors and visitors, in addition to personnel at all levels within the organization,
  • Maintain a library and record system of pertinent legal documents, materials, policies, reports and other information for retrieval by authorized viewers,
  • Assists with capital calls from investor,
  • Liaise with accounting department and outside accounting firms,
  • Set up bank accounts,
  • Manage IRS filings and related compliance,
  • Analyzes the needs of the department and makes recommendations,
  • Prioritizes and organizes diverse workloads and responsibilities,
  • Assists with and performs other corporate paralegal tasks as assigned.

 

Ideal Candidate will possess:

  • High school diploma and paralegal certificate; college degree, preferred,
  • Minimum 7 years corporate paralegal experience,
  • Experience with international requirements for establishing and registering entities,
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills,
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office software, including PowerPoint,
  • Strong verbal and written skills – good communication skills a must,
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple contractual obligations, remaining focused and calm in the face of distractions,
  • The ability to effectively communicate & interact with senior management as well as outside parties,
  • The ability to continuously adapt to change.

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to solicit feedback on priorities to be able to stay on top of the most pressing matters;
  • Ability to gauge realistic timelines for projects given multiple competing priorities;
  • Demonstrated success in multicultural, multinational work environment;
  • Demonstrated success in high-pressure work environment;
  • English fluency required; ability to speak and read French is a benefit but not required.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment
  • Flexible Hours; Intended to be 25 to 30 hours/week, 5 days per week
